Veneers are customized thin, durable, tooth-shaped pieces of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your teeth to reshape your teeth and your smile. They are an effective alternative to crowns and will last for many years.

The Porcelain Veneer Procedure

Veneer installations usually take two visits to complete. During the first visit, the teeth are prepared for the veneers by lightly buffing and shaping the surface to accommodate the veneer's thickness. An impression of your teeth is taken, and you'll choose a color shade for your new veneers.

On your second visit, the prepared teeth will be cleansed with special liquids to prepare a durable bond with the veneers. Bonding cement is applied between the tooth and the veneer. Using a special light beam, the bond is hardened to keep the veneer in place.

Proper brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits will keep your veneers looking their best and functioning properly.
